Whether you are playing in one of our many fun holiday events vying for prizes or focused on winning one of our competitive events for club glory, we have events for everyone.
Playing with other Members testing your skills under pressure or bringing out friends/family/Clients is always a highlight at RFCC.
Member Events

Presidents Cup
- A season long individual match play event. Players are flighted by handicap.

Men’s Club Championship
- 54 & 36-holes of competitive stroke play over one weekend. Members are placed into flights based on index.

RFCC Shootout
- The 10 lowest handicap players of the club are invited to play in a 9-hole shootout.

Player of the Year Shootout
- The 10 highest members on the season long Player of the Year points list are invited to compete in a 9-hole shootout to determine the Player of the Year.
Member-Member Events

The RFCC Classic
- This is the premier member/member event of the year! Participants play 45 holes over two days and a horserace to determine the overall winners. This event is also RFCC’s largest fundraiser for our in-house Education Foundation.

Ed Stewart
- A season long two-member team event. Flights are drawn at random.

Camel Caravan
- A two-day member/member event that plays three different formats.

Ryder Cup
- The men play 27 holes, and the ladies play 18 holes on the same day. Sign up individually and the golf shop makes the teams (USA versus International).

Peterson Memorial
- A River Forest tradition! Six members per team, playing 18 holes in three different formats. A horserace follows the main event to determine the overall winners.

The Potie
- One of RFCC’s premier member guests. Teams consist of one member & one guest playing 45 holes and a horserace over two days.

The Deuce
- One of RFCC’s premier member guests. Teams consist of one member & one guest playing 45 holes and a horserace over two days.

The Swatteroo
- A one day, 18-hole event, non-competitive event. Members may bring as many guests as they wish.

Eddie Invite
- A one day, 27-hole event with a horserace. Teams consist of one member and one guest.
Ladies' Events

Women’s Golf Team
- Competitive team events where the RFCC team plays against other area clubs in a multi month format.

Ladies Day
- Each Tuesday morning throughout the season, the ladies of RFCC play in a different format and accumulate points throughout the year.

Ladies Club Championship
- 54 & 36-holes of competitive stroke play over one week. Ladies are placed into flights based on handicap.
Season-Long Men's League

- An 8-week, 10 team season long event. Teams compete against a different team each week. The top four teams make the finals!
Couples/Family Events

King and Queen
- A season long male/female team event. Your partner cannot be your spouse!

Nine and Dines
- Twice a year, we have a “themed” afternoon golf and food event. These events are very social and non-competitive.
- Family 9 Hole
- Two different events held over the summer. Each are 9-holes with different formats. Children must be 18 or younger to participate and can play with either Mom or Dad.

Junior Golf
- Both spring & fall clinics are offered.
- In the summer, we offer our junior golf academy that spans six weeks as well as a junior golf camp that is conducted over one week.
- All participants of both the camp & academy are eligible to play in the season ending Junior Club Championship.
Special Events

Opening Day Scramble (special)
- A fun way to start the season! This event is a great way to meet new members or reconnect with existing members.

Trick n Trot
- 18-holes of tricks and treats on the golf course! You never know what the next hole holds for your team. You may have to play the hole with a range ball or hit to a green with no pin!

Evans Scholars Outing
- 18 holes of team golf. This day is a fundraiser for the WGA Evan’s Scholar program that sends caddies to college and pays for their tuition, rom & board.

Noonan Cup
- Are you my friend, Danny? This event pits the club’s top caddies from the caddie tournament against the members that caddie for them in caddie tournament!

Fight Night Golf
- An 18-hole afternoon event consisting of food, golf and boxing! Teams can be either member/member or member/guest. After the conclusion of golf, head up to dinner, then to the "fight" tent set up in the parking look to watch some of the best amateur boxing in Chicago
West District Matches

- Competitive team events where the RFCC team plays against other area clubs in a multi month format. Open to all ages.

- Competitive team events where the RFCC team plays against other area clubs in a multi month format. Open to members 55 and older.
Holiday Events Matches

Memorial Day Event
- A two-best ball of the foursome event. Teams are drawn randomly by the golf shop.

4th of July Event
- One of the best days of the year at RFCC! An 18-hole event playing in a shamble format. Scores go very low! After golf, stay for all the festivities set up around the club and the amazing fireworks show at dark!

Father’s Day Event
- An 18-hole "fun" event. The format for golf is a scramble and Dad's may bring their parents, children and/or son in law/daughter in law to play with them. Breakfast is served before golf begins.

Labor Day Event
- An 18-hole event playing in a very unique format that you most likely have not played before! Teams consist of four players and on each hole, the team divides into 2 twosomes and plays a scramble on each hole.
